What is New Boiler Installation?

New boiler installation is when you replace your old boiler with a new one. You can opt for a like-for-like boiler swap or a completely new boiler system. Whatever you decide, our boiler engineers will be happy to help. There are three stages to our new boiler installation.

1. Removing the Old Boiler

The first step in the boiler installation process is to remove the old boiler. To make this process easier for our specialist engineers, we recommend clearing the space around your boiler so our team has room to work. If your new boiler is being installed somewhere new, our engineer may need to remove old pipework and radiators before the new boiler is installed.

2. Installing the New Boiler

Once the old boiler has been removed, our engineer will flush the system and install your new boiler. As part of the boiler installation process, the pipes in your property and the water inlet will be reconnected and a new boiler flue will be installed.

3. Boiler Controls and Explanation

Once your new boiler has been installed, our engineer will run you through the boiler controls and how to use them as well as what features the boiler has. This ensures you know how to use your boiler efficiently and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions. Our engineer will also provide you with a full boiler report.

Combi Boilers

Combi boilers are Britain’s favourite boiler. These compact boilers are particularly beneficial for smaller properties as they are made to fit in cupboards, so take up less space. Combi boilers are efficient, money and space-saving, and can supply both your central heating and water heating needs.

System Boilers

If you already have a hot water cylinder in your property, then a system boiler is a good choice. System boilers store water in a separate cylinder so they can provide a constant supply of hot water throughout your home.

Heat Only Boilers

Heat Only boilers, also known as Regular Boilers, are ideal for larger properties. This is because heat only boilers can heat large amounts of water at once and provide hot water to multiple outlets simultaneously. So, you can have a hot shower while somebody else is washing the dishes.

Boiler Installation: 4 Signs It’s Time

Boiler installation can feel like a big commitment, so you want to know you’re doing the right thing. If you’re wondering whether you should get a new boiler fitted, below are 4 signs it’s time.

Energy Efficiency

Today’s boilers are more energy efficient than ever before. So, not only will a new boiler save you money on your energy bills, but it will also be better for the environment.

Boiler Age

Boilers don’t typically last longer than 15 years. So, if your boiler is 15 years or older, you should consider a replacement. An old boiler could be costing you more to run and will certainly not be working as efficiently as a newer model.

Cost Efficiency

If your boiler is beyond economical repair this means it’s more cost-effective to organise a replacement. As soon as your boiler is costing you more in energy bills and repairs, it’s time for a replacement.
